SARDREAM - THE DREAM IN SARDINIA (SARDINIA, ITALY).

THE DREAM IN SARDINIA

It was a sunny day, with cold air. A perfect climate to lie down and get carried away in the ship's bar, there were mostly older ladies, taking their Martinis and laughing as if everything seemed to them of an incomparable sympathy. I was already tired from the trip, after two weeks on a boat. Monotony turns to moments your best friend and moments your enemy, exactly that bipolarity led me to think about throwing myself into the sea or staying on one of those beautiful islets where I went down with my grandparents and all the tourists who were also on the boat . The ones that worried me the most were the Japanese, apparently they had a cell phone with unlimited memory, on the islands they took every stone, and every tree, on the boat all the food, at the doors and even asked me for photos, One thing I still don't understand At the back of the boat there was a place that was probably my favorite, full of lounge chairs, with umbrellas, it was like a small beach without sand, well the sea was a few meters below. As soon as I leaned back on one of these lounge chairs, the air was incredibly fresh, I did my relaxation exercises that I had learned on YouTube in one of those moments of leisure on the trip. Suddenly a wave lifted the boat from the sea, when I opened my eyes it was because it had fallen into the frozen water of the sea, I flew out like one of those umbrellas from the false beach of the boat, unlike in this case the umbrellas were glued to the ground of the ship, the only one who flew was me. I yelled at the laughing ladies for help, they were very busy, and the ship sped away faster than it seemed to move when I was on it.

I floated in the open sea, for what according to me it was a couple of hours, it could be 10 minutes, anxiety, fear, cold and the empty horizon in the 4 cardinal points, did not help to understand saves, distances or time. Without taking into account that from time to time, strange things jumped or fluttered. Although I was trying to stay alert, the tiredness and the cold were beginning to wear me out. Between resignation and the null possibilities in sight, I prepared to leave myself deserving of the sea and my physical and mental fatigue, you get used to fear, but not to fatigue.

A strange cloth covered my head, when I opened my eyes I saw everything white and I felt a strong smell of fish, I almost vomited, the man with the white beard had caught me with his fishing net, he yelled at me in a language I did not understand, He was also missing a tooth, but that didn't stop him from smiling as he pulled me to get on his little fishing boat, he gave me wine and bread, he kept laughing as he looked at me, I still didn't understand the joke, it seemed pretty good because he wouldn't stop to laugh while he kept saying things that I did not understand, nor was I going to be bothered by that, the wine was quite good, and even more so after drinking so much salt water. He started the engine of his little boat and accelerated.

We arrived at that small island, there was a small house at the top of the highest and largest stone, laughter was heard in the distance just like those of the bearded man, but of women. We entered the small house and there were five women, they all ran to hug the man with the white beard, he apparently introduced us, although they all laughed and I did not understand anything, but their smiles were so beautiful that I also smiled although I had not understood the joke. They cooked the fish that the man had brought, I continued with the wine, I never liked fish, but surely it was eating that, or nothing. He didn't care one bit how he would get back on the cruise with the laughing ladies. One of the girls approached me and poured me more wine, I was already feeling a bit drunk, while I was having a drink, another of them came up and gave me a kiss on the cheek and then said something in my ear that I did not understand He ran his tongue over my ear. And I closed my eyes. When I opened them, my bulldog dog licked my ear, while I was still lying on the couch and on TV a 90's program with recorded laughter, after 100 days of quarantine at home.
